Millies
follows a bankrupt, modern-day mill owner who is visited by mill workers from 1912 when they discover that her future threatens their historic past. Meanwhile, the mill owner contends with
a delinquent Latino youth whose gang keeps tagging her mill.
All these happenings have connections - and consequences - if
she doesn't find the answers or the courage to save history.

The Gay Marriage Thing
Director Stephanie Higgins
The
Gay Marriage Thing
presents the politics, the piety, and the people embroiled
in and affected by the heated debate over same-sex marriage.
With its refreshingly atypical style of cinematic storytelling,
this scrapbook narrative boldly cracks open the headlines
to explore humanity. Resonating with people on all sides
of this issue from Virginia to Utah and Iowa to California,
this quiet American story is a snapshot scrapbook of the
social struggle of our time.
A huge success at film festivals and special events, Stephanie Higgins’ debut film began on a bench in the Chamber Gallery of one of the nation’s oldest state houses. After hours of emotional speeches and heated debate Higgins left determined to make a film that focused on the faces on both sides of the issue, one that would help ease tensions and begin discussions.
The Gay Marriage Thing gained distribution
through The Cinema Guild less than a year after it was finished.
The film is now available on DVD to both educators and home
audiences alike. For more information visit the film’s
website: www.thegaymarriagething.com.
